Ghosting on text

Thanks for the tips…

I just got 100% yield on the print of qty 9…so that is good. Some slight ringing still but tolerable. I’ll get back to the ghosting soon…I’d like to eliminate it.

So I did a test of 1 component (different than above) on the PEI bed without any additional glue or magigoo. It worked, and was very easy to take off after the print was done. Almost too easy. Even so it looks good. So now I am doing a run of nine more of the additional component to see what the yield is.

When I go back to the main component, which weighs more, I’ll probably try only 1 to see if it prints without glue or magigoo. @kcchen_00 may be onto something…at least for one of my prints sample of 1.

The nozzle height is your friend for ABS on PEI. Use the GCode start script to adjust the height of the nozzle… Print some 2mm thick discs or squares to test the adhesion. The gcode command to add is: G92 Zxx.xx
xx.xx = lower nozzle height, start with 00.1

If the print sticks too much to the bed, try a drops of isopropyl alcohol around the edges to release the model.

Hope you finally get optimal adhesion.

The test of 9 passed. One thing I did do was to configure cura to Z hop 1 mm when retracted. On some prints previously it seems they were getting knocked off the bed.

Is that similar to adjusting the z-offset via the gLCD? I did that previously…

Anyway, thanks for all your tips and thoughts!
