Mounting Logitech C170 Webcam on the Mini

Setting up my new Mini with OctoPrint and am going to be making use of a Logitech C170 Webcam to monitor my prints. Does anyone have some advice on how best to position the camera for optimum viewing? Was hoping to find a mount I could print, but so far nothing that looks like it has been optimized for the Mini.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Tom

Here’s my take on a mount: https://forum.lulzbot.com/t/mini-led-and-webcam-mount/2721/1

I really like this one. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1245877

Its not pretty but i have mine cable tied up in the top by handle. Plan is to actually mount it there with something a little prettier

I used a flexible stalk designed for a GoPro mount, bought on Amazon and clamped it to the frame. I like the ability to reposition it, and I use a wireless day/night camera so I can see it on my Android phone from anywhere. Any camera would work though. I also like the Foscam C1, but I’m not sure it has a camera screw mount on the back.

The angle of the camera really has to be from the top down like I have it, or you won’t get a good image of the entire print.
