I like to think I have a decent handle on the design portion of things for this project heh. so I think we have that part covered. Anything you want to test out would be appreciated.
Please don’t think i meant that i think your designs are not up to scratch… far from it!! I wish i could figure out how to do things like that. I will have a good measure around the parts and the carriage and confirm anything that needs tweaking
Couple pics showing the X max switch tabs alignment.
I had to cut off the front mount because of the bottom part (widest bit) of the carriage fouled and stopped it from getting as close.
Hmm, ok that should be fixable. I’ll see what I can do.
Great, the measurements I sent should get us where we need to be, I’ve re printed the carriage with 1 mm shaved off so once I get the inserts in and it is mounted to the plate I will measure again
I would imagine the motor side will also need moving back the same, but I will update you on that.

Ok, i finally figured out what occured here. You used the version 1 pieces, which are misalligned. The Version 2 pieces here: Adjustable heat bed - glass mount should be correct. See if those do the trick. if not, I can adjust them as needed.
Printed v2. Here are the results
Still a few gremlins.
Front mount needs taking back at the bottom to clear carriage.
Switch tab extends past the switch and fouls the fan.
Bottom needs raising to bring switch in contact with tab.
Wait, the whole end needs to shift to hit that switch? Oh, that complicates things. Uh. hrmm. ok. Lets try another one. Does the motor side at least clear right?
Ok, new idler variant. I was trying to avoid adding a strike tab, but It doesn’t seem like it will line up right unless I do. You’ll need two M3 heat set inserts and 2 m3 bolts in addition to the usual hardware for this one, but this should in theory clear the issue. Pictures of the printed units. They fit! better pictures to come, but the interference issue on the idler side is no longer an issue! Yay!
