Trouble with prints staying down.

Use the dial gauge holder that clips to your X-rods… no better way to get measurements so they can be reproduced every time you level the bed. For me, 18.5mm is the sweet spot for my bed leveling and Z-endstop.

Here’s my process:

  1. Home XY
  2. center the toolhead
  3. raise Z so dial guage(s) can be clipped on at the corners. I use two simultaneously at each corner.
  4. Zero dial gauges above bed
  5. Home Z. Don’t rehome XY, it will knock off the dial gauge
  6. Adjust corners to 18.5mm or whatever your dialed in z-home reads. Note - adjusting one corner will affect the other, hence two dial gauges.
  7. Move to back of bed. Repeat step 6.
  8. Move to the front of bed and re-check. It will be different after adjusting the back. Repeat step 6.
  9. Repeat 7 & 8 to your liking…

If you nailed the Z-height, I gaurantee you’ll have great prints following the above process with two digital dial gauges.
