Is the low cost wired version of the stepper functionally equivalent to the Mini2 version that has a connector socket?
There are many places that sell individual stepper motor. However, I would get one from Lulzbot to guarantee that it will work on your printer.
For the full height stepper motor, here is what Lulzbot uses on all current printers for the past couple years.

Got it from Lulzbot. Their shipping cost more than the motor!
You certainly have a lot of time and energy invested into getting that machine back up and running!
For my purposes, it has been a fine little printer and some maintenance after 5 years is expected.
