When I started having problems with my 12-year-old Mini 1 I thought it was a good time to improve my capabilities. So I ordered the SL. Before it arrived I took the time to do some maintenance and check settings. Now it’s almost as good as new. I installed the new head and was thrilled with the quality of the parts. Then I stepped back and questioned whether I really needed it. I understand not being able to return it, but I doubt that I’ll use it very much. Is there a used parts site that you can refer me to? It was used very little and I’d like to find someone who has a need. Thanks for your help and understanding and I apologize for my frustration. I’d love a Taz but that will need to wait awhile. John
eBay is the best place to off-load them. They’re small enough to ship, so generally sell easier than entire machines.
What did you do to fix your mini up? I have one collecting dust. Have considered buying the new head or selling the whole thing.
I restored all settings to the original factory ones, started using glue on the bed and adjusted belts. Basically I spent time doing a better job cleaning it up. I guess I used the issues I had to justify buying the SL tool head. In hindsight I realized that I don’t actually have the need for that. Since I can’t return it I’d sell it and the adapter for $200 plus shipping if you’re interested.
