Implementing gCode or mCode (eTemp_ bTemp)at a certain slic

Hello,
Is there a way to implement Code at a certain layer height?
It sure would come in handy. I would like to control more than the first layer’s Bed Temp and also, the Extruder temps for finishing outside perimeters.
Thanks Grem

What is it that you are trying to accomplish?

Hello Nick,

I would like to control more than the first layer’s Bed Temp and also, the Extruder temps for finishing outside perimeters.

Certain areas of a model are not always consistent with geometry thickness and surface detail . A finer control of the outer perimeters, not just a jitter compensation or single layer control parameter are effective. We can slice a file and look at every layer in the slice. How do you add code at and absolute layer height. You know, IF { layer 200= TRUE}; implement gCode or mCode.
Thanks Grem

Grem,

A starting point would be to experiment with the “Tweak at Z” plugin in Cura. Go to expert settings mode, then the Plugins tab. Enable that plugin by clicking the arrow button. Then you can start modifying parameters.

If you need more customization than that then you would need to write/adapt your own plugin. Here’s a little bit of documentation on how to do that: http://wiki.ultimaker.com/How_to_write_a_Cura_plugin.
