There is not a lot of light in the room where my Taz 5 is setup, so I decided to make my own integrated light for my printer as the first 3D project that I would attempt. I already had some LED lights, switches and power supplies laying around, so I just needed to print the mounting bracket and case for it.
I decided to model it as one piece that would fit neatly behind the logo plate on the front of the Taz using longer 60mm M5 bolts. I have been using it for about 2 months now and it works great. It runs cool to the touch even leaving it own for 9 to 16 hour long prints. I put the files up on Thingiverse and wrote a quick blog posts about it. Let me know what you guys think.
