I have 3 sets of open builds axis x,y,z for taz 5. Is anyone interested?
I might be interested. I have a taz6 I think the y/x can be made to work with a few parts changes but had not seen much talk about the z axis parts. Do you know if the z-axis modes would work with a taz 6.
I have no idea I would look on (thingaverse) I know the same guy made a taz 6 version. I do not know what the differences are though. These are drop in replacements for taz 5. I have 3 full sets from 3 of my personal machines that ive been parting out.
Btw x and y make the most difference. The z I just made it cause I was bored. It cleaned up a bit of z wobble but it wasnt bad to begin with.
I can’t find that anything showing that the Z axis was converted to Taz 6 by piercet so I would be interested in the x/y only depending on cost.
I chatted with Piercet, the z axis will not work for taz 6 which is fine as you stated very little benefit.
$135 a peice plus whatever shipping is.
If no one else claims them, i might be interested in the z axis bits to have a set of spare components.
Piercet its been a longtime glad to see you still around. I did a couple different things with your z axis mod. I redid the two main brackets top and bottom. I redid the z axis adjustable limit. I added rullers for easy way to check adjustment. The only thing I had an issue with was the main block rollers i had to dremel them a bit. I have 3 sets of z. Name your price your the man. I also have 2 extra lead screws one old style and 1 new.
Oh, lets see, $135 plus shipping to battleground wa 98604 for one of the z sets? Im mostly intrested in the small wheels, zx plates and leadscrews, having an extra set would let me bring another printer online with my other parts. I may turn that one into my duet 3 test platform. Let me know if that works, and pm me where to send you funds.

Piercet,
Are CAD files available for open build systems, x-y for tax 6?
He’s got what you need posted to thingiverse: Search Thingiverse - Thingiverse
The STLs are fine for converting to STEP and making an assembly out of them but I will be making some modifications so that will require redrawing everything which will take a few hours so figured I would ask.
They were drawn in inventor, ipt files are available but i may not be able to convert those specific ones to anything else.
Inventor files would be perfect as I use fusion 360 which can convert the files and so can Freecad and solidworks.
They are large. You’ll need to message me a place i can post them to, they are too big for here or email.
