After just a print the Y-axis stopped working when I was going to print something else right away.
I updated the firmware, nothing changed.
All the other axis are working fine. nothing changed.

Probably a dead stepper driver. It could also be a dead stepper or a faulty cable.
To test, swap the x and y axis connectors on the motherboard and see if it moves to the x axis. If so, then swap the cables (at the steppers) to make sure it stays at the x axis. If so, it’s most likely a dead stepper driver.
When this happened to me, I moved the y axis to E1 and updated the firmware like so:
