Taz 4 nozzle heating issues

I am trying to set up an old Taz 4 printer that has not been in operation for a while. I am quite inexperienced with 3D printers.

The nozzle has difficulty heating beyond 170 degrees celsius. It takes a while to get up to this temperature (~10 minutes). No error messages are displayed, it just eventually stops increasing temperature, and sometimes slowly drops temperature. I tried a completely different printhead and still had the same issue.

The bed appears to reach its goal temperature just fine, but sometimes when i try to heat both the nozzle and bed, the printer just stops and reboots, and the temperature goals are reset to 0…

May this just be a power supply issue, or is there any other component of the printer I might want to check out?

Sounds like power supply.

A taz4 really is going to be a learning experience. I hope you don’t expect much more out of it. Printers have come a very long way, to the point a $200 printer will run circles around it.
