ya i emailed them earlier today but after hours so itll probably be tues when i hear from them. was just curious what route OP took since this topic never mentioned if there happy ending or eternal search for mythical coupling
Here’s the coupler if anyone needs one. They also sell them in the lulbot store occasionally http://uk.misumi-ec.com/vona2/detail/110302557310/?HissuCode=GSASL16-5-5 It’s basically a 16mm diameter coupler that joins a 5mm leadscrew output shaft to a 5mm motor shaft. As long as you get two 5mm to 5mm couplers, you should be fine.
I have had some type of warranty claim on every Lulzbot printer I own. They have ranged from swapping parts to replacing entire printers. Their response generally starts with… If you are comfortable installing this part we will send it to you. If not you can return it to us for the repair.
You will likely be on the hook for shipping the item to them, however. They used to cover return shipping. They no longer do that.
Hi, rtlflat. Well, Lulzbot offered me a warranty replacement for the broken piece. But I wasn´t able to unscrew it… So the full printer was packed again and sent back to Lulzbot headquarters!! Crazy, I know, but this was my case. It took a whole week to arrive and it had problems at USA customs so it was retained for two more weeks I don´t know where… A nightmare finally solved by the Lulzbot stuff directly. 30 days in total.
But hey, it´s here again and working. Hope nobody has to pass though it… 
At least you got it taken care of. Support advised me to contact sales Dept after confirming I was able to remove the set screws and that I could I could get the part through them. Was able to remove the coupling so I called sales and was told this part was not available and to try buying from reprapdiscount or misumi.

Wow, sorry to hear that… I guess I´m lucky then. Mine is from september too, and I would get mad if I must search for a broken piece “trying buying” in some random sites. Good luck with your research, and please let us know where to buy one in case it brokes again and there is no replacement at Lulzbot.
Ended up ordering cpl 16-5-5 from us.misumi. warning about first time orders from them tho… Their shipping estimator shows cost as $0 for first time orders and only works on following orders. So I got hit with 15 dollar shipping fee on top of 26 dollar part that is hopefully going to work. Its specs are closest to gsasl they show at us.misumi. every other countries misumi except US sells gsasl part code. Interesting that they choose that specific part number and ordering from out of country
Send Jebba a pm here in the forum. He isn’t on every day, but he will be able to get that sorted for you. You shouldn’t have had to buy that part since you were under warranty, and someone had a misunderstanding on their end that they will want to get sorted out. At very least you should get a spare coupler shipped to you out of it.
