Hello all,
Just recently I have had some issues regarding the stacking of layers with my 3D prints. I have a Taz 6 and until just recently it was in perfect working condition. Every 10 or so layers the print seems to shift about 2 millimeters on the y-axis. I have attached images to further illustrate this issue.
Does it only shift in one direction? I had something similar to the last picture. It turned out to be the toolhead was loose.
Check:
- toolhead is secured in the x-carriage, try removing and re-seating the toolhead.
- belts are tight
- linear bearing holders are tight on the underside of the bed.
Hope that gives you some ideas.
I tried all of your suggestions but it still does the same thing. I am baffled. I have switched between using Mattercontrol and Cura but I get the same results which leads me to believe that it is something with my printer.
Yeah, probably something mechanical with the printer causing the one axis to shift. Also check that your filament is spooling freely.
Hope you figure it out.
