How to remove the z carriage idler part which has cracked around the 12 mm lower rod and causes problems with the X belt tension?

When I swapped x carriages on mine, I removed the top plates on the frame, and twisted the rods manually (very tedious… make sure you raise it before disassembly!).
Thanks for your reply and I agree with your comments about it being a very tedious task. At this stage I have decided to renew all the 12 mm X - 10 mm Z linear bearings and print the new parts in PET-G CF as a replacement material seeing how the other material had failed .
