Hello,
With resources from this message board, I was able to print the parts I needed to modify one of the dual extruder heads to become a new single SE toolhead. Now, however, I’m stuck on how to attach this new SE back onto the Taz Pro. The documentation I have read for the harness’ say it should be a ‘universal toolhead mount’ and to screw in BOTH mounting screws, but the basic dual extruder interface board is blocking the second top mounting screw and the carriage has weird grooves that don’t result in a flat surface to successfully place the new toolhead up again. I’ve taken out all the screws I can, and the carriage and interface board don’t want to budge. Do I indeed need to remove more pieces from the carriage somehow to reveal the universal mount?
The wiring on the SE versus the dual is also different. I essentially kept the dual wiring and just rearranged all the pieces to be an SE since it is supposedly a ‘universal toolhead mount.’ Should I also be re-wiring the female molex pins on the toolhead to match the SE setup? And then do I need to re-wire things in the harness connected to the CPU too?
Thank you!
