piercet do those perceived issues with extruder show up in even the lower layers? or just when the prints get taller? I do understand why those would happen given the slight variance in extruder height because of the lead screw slight height variance.

man, those changes are comprehensive… thats a lot of work just to fix that issue, which is only cosmetic at least on my printer. the quality of my prints is still spectacular.
They do show up some on the lower levels, and increase as you go up, but they are often buried in the print itself. Usually the top layer will have some issues, which are directly tied to the stiffness of the leadscrew coupler. Thats why you will see a few people who have tried steel helical leadscrew couplers (which are massivly expensive) and have seen better results than with just the aluminum couplers alone.
Yes, there are definitly a few changes in those designs heh. There is an X and A Y mod that goes with them as well.
