A lulzbot software rant

My wife recommended that I post this, as she is tired of hearing me complain.
I’m trying to convert all my printers (including Taz WH and Mini2) to 1.75mm filament. When you try to change to the 1.75 in the Lulz Cura profile, all the filament options in the program dry up. There isn’t an accessible option to create your own filament that I can find, none of the buttons work.
So, I try regular Cura and import the G-code settings. Of course, the current Ultimaker Cura is 5.8 and Lulzbot Cura is 4.13, so it looks quite a bit different. The Ultimaker Cura allows the addition of the 1.75 filament. But, since I use a Mac, you can’t access the machine settings more than once (a documented bug).
Honestly, I was getting good prints from Lulzbot Cura and 2.85, but the filament is just not accessible. So I changed to a Humera with a e3D revo, but now struggling to fine a slicer that is workable.
Hoping that Lulzbot will get software that is versatile and up to date?

Hello,

Are you changing your printers in Cura?
You can definitely add the Workhorse and Mini 2 with the H175 Tool Head (this is the hemera) and you will have a number of profiles to use.

Most of the profiles we have for that would work for your revo, just adjust your nozzle diameter and line width under your custom print settings.

Ultimately when it comes to the profiles, they each reference the material profile document.
A 2.85mm profile is going to be different than a 1.75 profile. So changing between the materials without changing printer/Tool Head combinations will cause them to simply not work since the 1.75mm profiles ONLY work with the specified 1.75mm Tool Heads stated in the material profile document.
