Adding an Openbuilds Openrail Y axis to a Taz 3/4/5

Has anyone who has done this Y conversion run into an issue with layer shifting? I am pulling my hair out. Have replaced the board (archim2) and the stepper. I can consistently reproduce.

Thinking about jacking up the stepper current.

3 things to check. Make sure all 4 y motor pins are engaged. You shouldnt be able to easily moved the bed with it powered up after a manusl move. Also check for a loose stepper pulley. Belt tension is the next thing. If all 3 of those check out, remove the belt and ensure the bed rolls back and forth with nearly no friction, and no wobble play if you lift up on or move the bed side to side

Thanks Tim. I will double check all of these. I have replaced the stepper (with pulley) and board to rule those out. I have not replaced the wiring which I plan on testing today.

I did change the y stepper current from 975mA to 1300mA and the print completed without any layer shifting. The temp on the stepper itself stayed around 95F throughout the print. I did not check the temp on the driver.
