Extruder pushing too far into contact sensor

As a newbie with no 3D printer hardware training, it’s easiest for me to learn bu watching an instructional video of techniques. I just don’t see all the steps in that OHAI link so I would know step by step how to use a square to ensure the y axis is perpendicular to the frame or how to properly install the Y axis or the best way to slide the bed rods … etc. Even just a cell phone recorded video would be helpful to see how to check and make these adjustments. Lulzbot Support has not been helpful so I post on this forum as I didn’t find any YT videos showing this. Thank you.

So, to do that properly you have to find a near identical plastic square they use and make the same cuts into it. The geometry of what you are measuring means just any old square will not work.

The ones I got for this are:

Empire 7 in. Polycast Rafter Square
Empire 12 in. Polycast Rafter Square

From Home Depot.

The jigs you need are from here:

I would first try to square the bed with the jigs to see if something shifted or the previous owner changed something. Since the firmware is expecting the bed to be precisely where the jigs set it.

And the last jig (the one you place in the back) I had to make myself as they don’t have it anywhere to download.
