is the error i get about 5 sec. after starting printing, new filament spool both 1.75mm and 2.85mm. and after resuming print and purging it takes about 5 secs to stop with same error.
luzbot taz pro dual and it does have a runout sensor,
At least I think its a run out sensor, I’m thinking maybe some setting of new spool or amount of filament has been added. It tried printing after I turned off sensor. But print didn’t stick to the base.
The pro has the advanced runout/jam sensor, so long as you’re going through the sensor that mounts at the back-top-right of the printer. It works by rolling against the filament. Some filament is too smooth to roll the rollers, and 1.75mm is too thin to consistently roll the rollers as well.
Print sticking to the base is a separate issue, but without any pictures/videos, there’s nothing specific I can say you need to do: Clean the bed (dish soap and water), fix Z offset, check temperatures, print speeds, and that you have the right material type and size in the slicer.
Not sure how old you printer is, or where it has been stored, but the o-rings on the filament sensor wheel tends to crack and break. This will prevent the wheel encoders from spinning. If you are running 1.75 you can screw in the idler to be a bit tighter. Unscrew the idler and pull it back and see what the condition of the o-ring is. See if spins freely. Also, the printed part the ring sits on can sometimes be of dubious quality and can itself also break. Look in the OHAI for details on how to disassemble the run out device should you need to service it. Look in the BOM for the Taz Pro to get the details on the o-ring - Amazon has them cheap.
Also, change the run out distance setting in the firmware to be higher. The default in some of the older firmwares was too low for a period of time before they fixed it.
