Hey, So I recently got a pre-owned Lulzbot Mini and while I was printing I bumped my laptop and the USB connector on the RAMBo just broke right off. I took the board out and the pads were fine so I soldered up a new one. It worked for a second and now wont connect, I verified everything is good with a multimeter. Is the board just FUBAR? if yes where can I find a replacement board?
I will add that there is a single yellow LED that comes on the board when the USB is connected
Does windows add/remove a COM port when it’s connected/disconnected in the device manager? That’ll let you know if it’s at least connecting correctly. If so, it may be possible to re-flash the firmware. If not, your USB port is probably not on correctly, despite having some correct connections.
Direct replacement is the mini-rambo:
But at $200, probably not worth it.
You can do custom Marlin firmware and use any other board - SKR mini or similar - to make it run for about $60.
Already been using the system report app on mac which functionally does the same thing. It doesnt show up on there. I was able to find a mini-rambo for $100 on Partsbuild3d (RAMBo Mini Mainboard - Prusa MK2, MK2.5 | Partsbuilt 3D) I’m assuming this needs a firmware flash but it looks identical to the mini-Rambo. It comes in a few days so I guess we will find out if it works
Did you check to see that the firmware wasn’t messed up on the Arduino chipset connected to the USB?
