Lulzbot mini - new print head goes too low

Hi.

Big fan of lulzbot. I recently got a bunch of free 1.75mm filament. But my Mini print head is too large 2.8mm?

I bought a new print head off eBay with a 1.75 mm nozzle.

In the Z axis, it goes down too far.

Any suggestions on fixing this?
Adjust the steps per inch?
Use the bed leveler to auto fix this?
Take it down manually and once it touches, set to zero?

Any guidance is appreciated
Mike

You will need a toolhead change for that but if it’s new go under settings on both cura & the printer
Then press save as of the z offset you will need a referral @McLeach is who I recommend

What new printhead? some custom job, or a real H175 or M175v2?

The Z offset shouldn’t change with different toolheads on the Lulzbot machines that use the corner washers for leveling, but if you changed firmware, your previous Z offset was probably lost.

Don’t change Z steps, that doesn’t change with toolheads.

What is your current Z offset? It should be something around -1.25mm. If it’s scraping the bed with that offset, you probably have some contamination on the nozzle that’s delaying sensing of the corner washers. If there is ANY visible movement of the bed when the nozzle touches a corner, your offset will be wrong.

Thanks. I will look at the Z offset first then work my way through other options.

Thanks. I will check Z offset parameters
