I was printing with my Taz 5 when my filament clogged my head and I don’t want to deal with It so how would I mount a E3D All-metal v6 Hotend Full Kit 3.00mm Direct (24v) to my Taz 5 I know it is possible although I don’t see the pins matching up to my connecter. image attached is my connecter and I don’t want to spend 70$ on a new hotend and have it not work. If there is also a place where I could buy a new stock hotend that would work too. Thank you in advance!
I have a Taz 5 that I am refurbishing. In my plans are adding this Dual BGM Mount to it. I plan on using E3D Revo hotends. In order to make the wiring compatible with my Taz 5, I bought the appropriate Molex connectors from Digikey.
I also bought the appropriate Molex two pin connectors as well.
Plus more of the existing 4 pin female Molex connectors and the 2 pin female Molex connectors.
I also got some male pins and female pins for the connectors.
In order to properly make the connections, I have a crimping tool.
Here is a video on using the crimping tool. He is crimping a different micro connector than the ones we have for our Taz wiring, but you can see the technique.
Here is another short video on making a connector.
Here is a video on pin removal/insertion.
So you want to wire up your E3D V6 to one of those male 4 pin molex connector just like this. It is basically the same setup as the existing wiring for this Lulzbot setup here.
I do not know how to do any of this or anything but since you know what you are doing, how much could i pay you to do the wiring to fit my Taz 5? Thank you!
