I need your assistance. I have a mini v1.04 and after three years the printer started to show the Error:Heating failed, system stopped! Heater_ID: 0 with the printer getting stucked at 177. After consultation with Lulzbot, I decided to get a new head and installed an aero SE 0.5 mm. Everything worked for a few prints and then started to get the same message and the printer getting stucked at 165. After looking around it was most likely the card, so I bought a new Rambo 1.3a from Ultimaker and just installed it, flashed and got the printer working, only to get the Error:Heating failed, system stopped! Heater_ID: 0 and the printer getting stuck now at 185C. I need any advice as to how to proceed because short of buying a new printer I do not know what to do. BTW, the printer is running on a Mac OSX with Cura 3.6.20
The bed heater wire are notorious for breaking due to fatigue. The breaks are often intermittent and cause spurious error messages.
I would definitely suggest replacing them (whether they test good or bad, they will break eventually) before spending any more money on parts.
Thanks! My error is related to the heating of the extruder but not the bed. I just called tech support and they suggested to test the wiring by looking at the output from the Rambo and at the end, but I am not sure as what type of wire should I use if I want to replace them. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks a lot!
My Mini 1 also quit. Like yours it would heat and stop and error out as the hot end. I replace the Rambo, the power supply and the tool head.
Finely replace the bed heater wires and everything was fixed.
