[SOLVED] TAZ 5 drive nut

Hi,
could anybody tell me what type of screws are used in the assembly of the Z drive nut and the drive nut holder?

M5x10 or M5x14? Are there any washers?

Mine isn’t quite a stock Taz 5, but according to the ohai kit documentation, there are no washers on the M5 bolts that secure the Z axis leadscrew drive nut to the drive nut holder. There is 16mm worth of thread to potentially fill at that location, and a longer bolt is just going to poke out the top and not be in the way. I’d use the longest one you can fit in there.

I do know I can use a longer screw. But I really need to know what is the stock (pre-assembled) screw size.

Check the bill of materials inside download.lulzbot.Com in that case then.

I checked my Taz and it has M5X10 bolts with no washer.

The BOM lists only two kinds of M5. 10mm and 14mm. I guess 14mm is used for this connection…
