had e1 err message. both hotends of dual extruder v3 tested proper. Heating coils 19.4 and 18.7. Both Thyristors 99.6 K and 99.4K. LCD is blank and no connection from Cura. What is the next step?
These are the step I would take:
Check the cable connection from the LCD to the control board.
If that is good:
Hit the reset button, turn off machine, unplug power cord, turn on machine without power cord, hit reset button, wait 5 minutes, turn off without power cord, plug in power cord, turn on machine.
If no results:
Hit reset button, turn off machine, attach a real computer to USB port, activate a version of CURA configured to your hardware, turn on machine, check for functions.
If machine does not function then bad control board.
If machine functions but no screen:
Using the real computer reinstall the machine firmware last know to function flawlessly, turn off machine, wait a minute then restart machine, check for function and LCD screen response.
If machine functions but no LCD screen, then bad LCD screen.
Swap out LCD screen and check for display and machine function.
If display functions control board is good, if it does not function swap out control board.
Check non functional LCD screen board for any electrolytic capacitor for failure, if not present replace screen and screen board.
Check non functional control board for any electrolytic capacitor for failure, if not present replace control board.
Finally figured it out. The 2nd cable to the LCD was slightly loose. unplugged and replugged a few time and its working now.
