Hello. I recently got my Taz 6 out of storage after not running for a year. I noticed it “chunks” when going up the z axis instead of a smooth climb. I’m guessing I need to grease the spiral rod that it goes up. Is this correct? If so what do I use to lubricate and is there a guide to applying it?
I use Lucas white lithium grease. Easily bought in most automotive stores:
White Lithium Grease – Lucas Oil Products, Inc. – Keep That Engine Alive!
8oz should last the lifetime of your vehicle and is only like $7.
Lucas 8 Ounce White Lithium Grease 10533 | O’Reilly Auto Parts
Awesome thank you. What’s the best way to apply it?
I just cut a small hole in the nozzle of the grease, then run a light line up the threaded rods. Run the Z axis up and down few times to spread it out.
