Taz Pro Dual "where's your head at?"

Taz Pro after last print job using PLA, then switched to CoPoly, now the damn thing keeps diving into the build plate and doesn’t know where the hell the print head is at whatsoever. Is this machine cooked?

After turning the machine back on, when you try and rehome, is the toolhead not homing at all?

It will home just fine. But any attempt to get it to print or auto-calibrate ends with it ruining the bed.

So it’s missing the leveling washers and calibration cube completely when you run auto-calib?
(Sorry for asking simple questions, I’m just trying to get a better gauge of what’s going on)

Probably dirty nozzle. If it visibly moves the bed AT ALL when it touches a washer, the nozzle is not clean.

I cleaned the nozzles with a brass wire brush, all washers are in place, it wipes nozzle on hot end A but completely misses B, then it proceeds to dive down into the bed in attempt to calibrate before print. every. time.

Yes. essentially. _______________

Check to see that you don’t have a mechanical issue - this could easily be a loose/slipping grub screw on your X axis motor. The left side gets homed until it hits, so it isn’t as noticeable there, but after trying to move to the right, missed rotation adds up and keeps it from reaching the pad.

Video of the entire startup, homing and attempted bed leveling would be very useful. If you can post to youtube, that’s typically the easiest method.

If it is definitely mechanically correct, next is to check your settings - the tool offset applies to the wiping of nozzle B on the pad, with an incorrect offset, it can miss the pad completely. I would recommend resetting the EEPROM back to defaults, then with good, 100% clean nozzles do the auto-setting for tool offsets.
