Taz Pro Homing failed

we have a lulzbot taz pro that was printing fine but all the sudden it started showing "Homing Failed, PRINTER HALTED, Please Reset” I normally set prints up in cura and put on a flash drive. even if I hit the “home all” button it moves the print head to the top and then errors with this message and a sad 4 octave jingle. Any help would be appreciated!!

If it errors at the top, it’s commonly due to the gantry becoming un-level.

When it hits the top, does it “bounce” a few times? If so, easy way to correct, is to power it off with the gantry near the top (usually where it errors out), then gently, but firmly push up on the lower side of the gantry until it is the same distance from the top as the higher side.

Both of the Z max switches have to be pressed simultaneously to home the Z axis, so if one side presses with the other doesn’t, the belts tend to slip on the higher side, it falls down. The other side then hits the switch then slips, and this repeats until the machine errors out.
