Taz6 dual extruder v3 head running in to magnetic flex bed tab

Hello, I recently installed the LulzBot TAZ Dual Extruder Tool Head v3 and TAZ Pro/Workhorse Magnetic Flex Bed v2 to my TAZ 6. I started to print the advised test file, but after homing and touching the 4 corners the print head then digs itself into the left lift off tab of the flex bed. Before loading the new firmware I noted the Z offset was -1.175 so I bumped it up to .325 after uploading the firmware as the instructions stated. The head seemed to be homing/leveling fine and wasn’t scraping the print bed. It just then suddenly dug itself into the tab. Anyone know how I might fix this?

Does the v3 run a purge cycle at the front? If so, you just need to adjust the X position that it’s purging at in your startup gcode. The Taz 6 is a “legacy” system and not fully supported anymore, so you’ll be expected to make some changes on your own to keep it running these days.

Since the Flex Bed is square someone suggested that you move the handles by rotating the sheet 90 degrees placing the handles to the right (away from the wiper pad and z-min switch. While slightly awkward to flex the sheet it does get the handles out of the way.
