Taz6 suddenly crashed and doesn’t turn on

Hi,
I am trying to resurrect a Taz6 that hasn’t been used in a very long time.

On first check, it did turn on, fans and heater working.

I had to disassemble the tool head as there was a very small piece of filament left in. I managed to pull it out and wanted to do a cold pull to clean out the hot end and nozzle.

However, as I was heating this up, the machine suddenly crashed, the tool head moved to one corner and now nothing turns on. It seems completely dead. No display.

Does anyone have ideas what happened and how I can turn it on? I thought I blew a fuse but the rest of the devices on that power line still work.

Would really appreciate some help as this was supposed to go to a school for kids to use.

Thanks.

The Taz6 has its own fuses, check those first.

Most likely you crossed or otherwise damaged the wires to the heater in disassembly. They are cheap, so I’d replace the heater.

Thank you! I’ll look at those.
Where do I go to buy fuses, the heater or fan with the right pins on it? I also see the right fan wires might be a bit suss.

Thanks so much.

The big 15 fuse, any auto shop or hardware store.

The smaller ones, you can get from lulzbot - 5 Amp Nano Polyfuse (x3) | LulzBot 3D Printer, but shipping would probably be expensive. I got my spares off amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Acting-Surface-Mount-6-1mm-2-69mm/dp/B085WSHMCH

Sounds like a classic blown fuse did you clean the nozzle with anything conductive?
