I just upgraded to Cura LE 4.3.17. I also upgraded the firmware to 2.0.9.0.13 on my TAZ 6 with the M175 tool head. Every time I try to level the bed, the nozze misses the Z-height sensor. I tried to use gcode in the console and move the nozzle to the correct position and use “G28 Z”. The nozzle moves to the correct position (G1 X-15 Y270) but moves away from the Z sensor when the G28 Z is executred. What can I do to get the nozzle to properly hit the Z sensor??
Have you selected the M175 toolhead from the toolhead menu on the printer yet?
Yes - both from the Cura console and the printer.
How far off is it from the center of the button? M206 can be used to correct it, or you can physically adjust the bed position so it’s centered as well.
If doing the physical bed adjustment, just power off the machine once it starts lowering to try and touch the button. Loosen the Y axis screws slightly, and (without moving the gantry!) tap the bed to center the button under the nozzle.
M206 is a better way if you’re swapping toolheads. Method starts the same - power down as it’s moving toward the button. Imagine an XY grid with X0 Y0 as the center of the button. Where the nozzle is touching on that grid is your offset coordinate. For instance, if it’s touching behind and right of the center of the button, it would be something like X5 Y6. If it’s touching ahead of and left of the center of the button, it would be X-5 Y-6. Got it? Now, take that offset coordinate and, you put it in the startup GCODE for your machine. There’s a spot reserved for it in CuraLE:
Remove the semicolon that denotes a comment, and input your offset in place of the 0s
