I have a Taz4 that I just bought a Flexystruder for. I printed a new fan duct but have not identified the connector that is used on the fan wires. I see the fan in the lulzbot store has a different connector, what I’d like is one that simply connects the same way as the original fan.
I just purchased the four pin connectors… Now I need the crimping tool…
This might get you started.

That’s not the connector I’m looking for.
My fan came with the two pin version of that connector. What are you looking for?
This one
The part number for that connector from Digikey is: WM2533-ND and the contact pins part number is: WM2565-ND.
The manufacturer part number for the molex connector is 0701070001 and for the contact pins it is 0016020108.
I didn’t have any luck crimping these connectors without a crimping tool. I guess that is next on the shopping list. Has anyone had good results with a particular crimping tool?
I’ve just got this generic one: http://www.amazon.com/SF-Cable-D-Sub-Crimp-Tool/dp/B005OEAH6Y/ref=sr_1_2?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1417451571&sr=1-2&keywords=crimp+pin
Seems to work well. Basically I usually strip the wire, line the section that crimps onto the insulation up with it’s edge, crimp the middle bit onto the wire, flip it over and crimp again to consolodate the crimp, then crimp the insulation hold piece, etc. Seems to work ok anyways. I’m not what I would necessarily call “good” at it yet.
Heh! It has to be better than the needle nose failure I had this weekend!
Thanks.
Here’s the what I use http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DHCRVSC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
