Wrong Machine! - Lulzbot Mini

I have been using a laptop to print on my Lulzbot mini (1) but I’d prefer to not have that particular laptop tied up the entire time I’m printing.

I’m trying to get things set up on one of my other laptops, however, when I install everything I get to the point where I plug the machine in and I get the “Wrong Machine” error.

"Firmware reports printer type doesn’t match the printer you’re trying to connect to… "

Note, my laptop running Cura LE version 4.13.5 works with the printer just fine.

When trying to run Cura LE 4.13.10 (newest I got) from two other laptops I’m getting the wrong machine error.

I’ve done the following:

  1. removed & reinstalled CuraLE

  2. removed, rebooted, cleaned cache (via %appdata%), reinstalled CuraLE

  3. Used my “good” laptop to update firmware on the Lulzbot

  4. tried steps 1&2 again.

I am telling the program to add a Lulzbot Mini 1 printer (without LCD) each time.

At one point I turned off the safety and printed anyway and got a decent print of a simple item, but I didn’t want to continue with that…

Advice please.

Thanks.

Hmm. Possibly solved. I updated firmware (2.0 now or something?) from one of the non-working laptops and I think it connects now…

off to try printing…

I kindly explaining how you fixed it

It was a matter of using the newest Cura to update the firmware. I think I had different firmwares in different Curas bouncing around.
