Cura LE won't launch on one PC

Hi All.

I’ve got a TAZ Pro in a local makerspace that I’ve taken over maintenance for. I’m having problems with Cura LE 3.6.37 on the primary PC we use to manage our 3D printers. It will start the program, show the loading splash screen, and then it disappears. I have this version of Cura on my own machine and it works normally.

I took a look through the log file and it appears to be looking for a directory that doesn’t exist (see below). Looking at my machine, I don’t see that folder either, but like I said, mine runs fine. I’ve uninstalled 3.6.37 multiple times & searched the registry to make sure there’s nothing in there pointing to the non-existent folder, but I’m still getting the same problem.

Anyone else run into this?

I’ve solved the issue. There’s something missing in the 3.6.37 installer. I uninstalled 3.6.37, then I downloaded and installed 3.6.23. I can run that without any problems. I then installed 3.6.37. That now runs correctly.

Thank you for this. I was having the same problem and your solution worked for mine as well. I must admit I was a little frightened by all of the info in the first post. I have no idea what any of that is so I’m glad there was an easy solution!

This worked for me. Thank you!

Actually - I now suspect , similar to you, that somewhere it is pointing at a wrong directory. I have installed CuraLE multiple times and tried to uninstal it too.

It won’t pull up an option of the TAZ sidekick when installing a printer - so maybe it is looking at old directory files?

Had this same issue but the solution from scsilvers didn’t fix. Anything else I should try?

Open File Manager
In the address line, type “C:/%appdata%” [Enter]
Delete directory {cura-lulzbot}
Reinstall Cura-LE
