Extruder Wiring Harness

Has anyone sourced where to get a wiring harness for the extruder heads? Thanks

I believe most people build their own harness’s. You can purchase most of the parts you will need from Digikey or Mouser. If your looking for information on the Taz 4 harness’s you can find it here: http://devel.lulzbot.com/TAZ/Guava/production_parts/Electronics/External%20Harnesses/

For the Taz 3 look here: http://devel.lulzbot.com/TAZ/Guava/production_parts/Electronics/External%20Harnesses/Pre-Guava/

Be sure you gather up a good list of stuff to order. Those electronic supply sites like the $12 - 15 shipping for an envelope of small stuff.

Mouser now has $4.99 Economy Shipping to residential addresses, which helps alot. Also, the last order I did from Digikey, which was a tiny order, the shipping was $2.87 for economy.

I’ve been pricing the items needed to build TAZ harnesses, and most of the connectors and housings are cheaper from Mouser than Digikey. However, since the TAZ BOM lists Digikey part numbers, I have to look them up on Digikey first to get the manufacturer part no, which I can then look up on Mouser.

Hope this helps.

Thanks guys. I found the BOM for the extruder head I want to build and yes, most of the harness info is for digikey. I didnt realize shipping was so much, and will try to source everything from one place for the harness.
