Just applied the thermal paste and will run M306T and M500 in 24 hours when it is fully dry.
Thermal paste is amazing! Heater heated up so rapidly I couldn’t believe the results! I applied it to both the heater and thermistor. Temperature readings are much more accurate!
This is a picture of temperature during M306T. I made sure to save with M500.
The problem has been solved! I printed a total of 4 hours after this thermal paste modification and it heats up properly every time!
During testing when printing the initial layer I have my flow set to 91% for PETG and temps 255c, speed 15mm/s, fan 0%. Once it starts the normal layers flow is set to 100%, temp 258c, speed 45mm/s, fan 7%.
If you are experiencing heating problems with any Meteor toolhead then take a look at your thermistor and heater to see if they are loose. That means you need thermal paste. Especially if the issue is only during high temp and or high speed printing.
I had loose thermistors on a Revo setup, but that was an issue with the early batches. Glad to see it’s working well for you now.
