Just got my Taz 6 with a dual extruder v3…

I’m having a few issues.

  1. is this tool head play normal? lulzbot Taz 6 dual tool head play - YouTube

  2. The hot ends keep heat creeping regardless of my retraction settings… is there a fix?

  1. That play isn’t normal. You may need to do some “fine tuning” of the bottom of the tool head back plate.

  2. There are a couple of fixes for the heat creep. I’m assuming you have a Dual Extruder V3 and if so, the V3.1 conversion kit should help but I prefer this one. With care, you can use the stock fan without cutting the wires. There are also higher CFM 40mm 5v fans available from Noctua (NF-A4x10 5V and NF-A4x20 5V).

Printed and installed!

Discovered some z banding found a bent lead screw, removed the bearings and got a way better print.

Changed out the tool head bottom mount holder and head no longer wobbles!
