  1. That play isn’t normal. You may need to do some “fine tuning” of the bottom of the tool head back plate.

  2. There are a couple of fixes for the heat creep. I’m assuming you have a Dual Extruder V3 and if so, the V3.1 conversion kit should help but I prefer this one. With care, you can use the stock fan without cutting the wires. There are also higher CFM 40mm 5v fans available from Noctua (NF-A4x10 5V and NF-A4x20 5V).
