I have a luzbot taz pro. I’m a teacher. I have printed on it about 8 times but it always has had leveling issues and its out of warranty. I tried to contact cust service and they had me flash the firmware several times and reset the printer with the pin in the top and reflash and then try to reprint. When I try to print it has z probe failure. Continuity test works for nozzle to ground and also tried to print. but when I do it goes haywire. I changed the wiping pads too.
here is a video of it. Cust serv just said to send it in for repairs. it’s costly to ship and to fix. any suggestions on what to try before sending it?
Somehow you have the wrong firmware. It has Pro XT firmware. That’s why when it homes it says the Z coordinate is at 590. When it tries to come back down it wants to go down 590 mm and crashes the bottom.
Flash the firmware again, but make sure you have TAZ Pro (S) selected for the printer and Pro Dual for the tool head in Cura LE.
Thank you. I flashed it and it worked. I appreciate your help as when I asked cust serv they did not notice it. the S vs XT are not clearly noted on the model number on the machine.
I was the one assisting you through the support ticket.
It does appear as though we had instructed you to flash the TAZ Pro S firmware to your printer, including pictures showing the correct selections.
We apologize if those instructions were unclear or caused any confusion.
