LulzBot TAZ Single Extruder Tool Head v2 missing CAD Files

I am attempting to make some modifications to the Hexagon hotend mount plate but the correct CAD file is nowhere to be found. If you follow the source links on the product page it takes you to http://devel.lulzbot.com/TAZ/accessories/fangtooth_guppy/. The STL and the FreeCAD file at this location do not match the production mounting plate. The STL in the TAZ 5 download directory is correct but there is no corresponding CAD file. I asked this question in the TAZ forum with no success, I am hoping someone here might know where to find this elusive CAD file.

Is that the aluminum plate? I couldn’t find it either… I’m guessing since its not a printable part, there is no STL.

Not the aluminum plate, I found the cad files for that in the mini folder. I am looking for the CAD files for the back plate of the removable extruder/hotend. I want to modify it for a fan mount. The printed part name is extruder_mount_hex.stl. I need the CAD file for it, FreeCAD, STEP, Solidworks, etc.

Thanks @orias, I found that one earlier and it is close but no cigar. The production one is different, especially around the filament fan mount and the blower mount.

Any idea who would be the right person to contact about this? Would support be able to help out here?

Your best bet would be to continue to explore through the development server- it’s continuously in flux and may be in a different location. Keep in mind that the STL file may be the only thing available- we don’t always have the primative/source models available. At a minimum we’ll have the STL file available.
