Mini Won't Connect to Cura

When I attempt to connect, the fan will stop and the firmware resets… And then cura eventually times out.

I have tried auto and direct settings.

Prior to this the leveling detection stopped working, and I popped the cover and jiggled wires and it started working again. But then I lost connection.

Is this sounding like a bad controller?

When a Rambo board connects via USB, it resets, so that part is normal.

If it isn’t able to connect, I’d start looking at if there’s a problem with the USB port, grounding or power connections.

I’m a little confused. I set cura to specific speeds (not auto) and it resets on each speed. Auto also fails.

The axes all move, the heaters are working, I am able to manually home and level. I may try printing from an SD card.

And it was connected yesterday before I had some other trouble with grounding. But what could cause the usb to be unable to connect?

Could be the software on the computer, operating system on the computer, USB cable, damage to the USB port (on computer or board), something bad on the board.

I’d start with trying different USB cables, then computers.
