*Need Prints done in Flexible mat*

Popped into the local fastenl, looks like they have heat sets, not quite exactly the same as the one’s global or mcmaster or timberline supply but they’re cheap so I’m going to try them out, nothing to loose…

So one thing I’m wondering, when I get my flexi up and running, are you able to do support material with flexi? I imagine you could but would have to razor blade it off? What about bridging, does it bridge?

You can bridge with Ninjaflex. I don’t know of support materials with it.

Lol…ok, good to know. Thanks Jeff. I’ll work my design into that then. But I imagine built in support would work, could just cut it with an exacto knife…

I think the XRobots guy did a few test towards the beginning of his Alien Xenomorph suit where he used it as support material. You could check it out on Youtube.

Ninjaflex is really strong, so make built in support very fine.

So I ordered a bunch of stuff from fastenal for the flexi build, parts came in and everything looks good…EXCEPT for the M3 heatsets, it looks like they don’t quite have the same shoulder as the one’s lulzbot uses so they’re too small for the inset holes on all the parts. I’ve already printed out all the parts also, so I’m sorta stuck, I could try to change the hole sizes on the CAD files… but that’s more work and I’d have to reprint the parts, I’m wondering if anyone has some M3 inserts lying around that they would want to sell to me?

Maybe switching to a M4 would be easier?

what a blonde moment for me, I could probably even drill them out a bit and just use an M5 for now since I ordered a few spare, never even crossed my mind…sheesh. Good call Thanks. Sometimes you just need a different perspective.
