TAZ 5 setting z axis home too low

I dug out my old TAZ 5 and was trying to get it printing again. I updated the firmware to v1.1.9.34 and replaced the nozzle to clear a clog. It printed fine with PLA, and then I switched to ABS.

Once I did, when running the autohome function, the z axis now presses down into the bed, backs off, and then parks with the tip touching the bed. If I manually raise the z axis up about 1mm, ther is just enough room to slide a piece of paper under the nozzle. When sending a print, the nozzle returns to the original 0 height, and prevents any material from extruding out.

Is this simply a matter of adjusting the z-limit switch or is there a better way?

You’re supposed to write down your Z offset before a firmware update. You should be able to adjust it in the printer’s menu to get it back to where it should be.
