Taz 6 extruder nozzle change

thanks Zenotek for your suggestion. Regards

You print up to the width of the flat part of you nozzle. Past that and the extrusion will be going upward instead of outward.

You definitely can, as @Wrathernaut has stated. For example, an E3D Volcano 1.2mm nozzle can be “overclocked” to 3mm wide and 0.9mm high extrusion. The key is getting the specs for the nozzle which most reputable manufacturers can provide.

Calipers should get you a nozzle width close enough. Just put it at like 90% of the width of the flat of the nozzle and you’re fine. Height? Generally half the nozzle opening is good, but you can go taller if your extrusion width goes up too.

Quality would suffer, but if you’re after speed, that’s probably not your focus anyway.

If you need a nozzle change first let it cool off then screw in half way then heat it then do the other half make sure it is with rachet socket wrench
