I bought a use Lulzbot Taz 6 That has a problem with homing the Z axis. The head lowers towards the touch plate, but it is roughly 0.5 inches to the right of the pad. There doesn’t appear to be any more available movement of the print had to the left due to physical limitations. Should I loosen the table from the frame and shift it so that they align? The print head and the center of the cleaning pad is also off by the same amount. Any guidance would be appreciated.
What toolhead is selected on the printer’s menu?
What toolhead is selected in CuraLE?
What toolhead is on the machine?
Video of the startup-to-homing sequence would help a bunch.
You forgot “What firmware is installed in the printer?”
Hi Wrathernaut & b-morgan,
My apologies for the long delay. I did work to answer your questions, as they were not readily available to me. I did not have a current version of the firmware, but I do now (2.0.9.0.13). As for the toolhead, that question has me stumped. I have attached a picture of it, but I do not have any idea what it is exactly. I can make out E3D in the hologram on the face of it, but that is about all. I contacted E3D hoping to get a response, but it has been a few days now. I have selected every single extruder option on the menu, but I get a message stating “Wrong Tool Head!” Is there a chance anyone can provide me with further guidance?
It became clear that there was a physical limitation preventing the toolhead from aligning with the touchpad, so I adjusted the base by about 3/8" and it was able to home. Nonetheless, I am still challenged with making it operational due to my inability to identify the toolhead.
Your help is greatly appreciated.
Well, I just came across an image of the Lulzbot SE 2.85x0.5mm Toolhead, but that was one of the selections I made that returned the message that it was the wrong tool head. Should I just select it anyway (which appears to be an option)?

(LulzBot SE Single Extruder Tool Head - 2.85mm x 0.5mm | MatterHackers)
Yes, that toolhead is the Taz 6 | SE | 0.50.
The only 2.0.9.0.13 firmware would be the universal firmware, so ensure you’ve set it correctly in the printer’s “Toolhead” menu. Keep in mind that SE 0.5 is not “Single Extruder 0.5”.
I’d recommend removing all other machines from CuraLE, as there’s no reason to have those installed if you’re not using that toolhead.
