Z axis-loud noise, won't move - Luzbot Taz

I am using the Luzbot at a school. It was working fine for a semester and then started making a loud noise when trying to move the Z axis. The z axis moves a tiny bit, but no more. It will not go down low enough to print properly. This link goes to a YouTube video https://youtu.be/CB2CRPl06CI
I am pretty new to this all so please keep that in mind when offering suggestions of what I need to do. I did not buy this machine, it was in the room when I arrived.
Thanks!!

I can’t see both sides, but I suspect that the X gantry is not level. With the machine off, find a stable object that barely fits between the rod of the gantry on the left side of the bed. Manually rotate the lead screws for both sides of the Z axis until the rod just barely touches the object. If you can’t turn both at once, rotate whichever side is visually higher until they both can be moved at the same time. Now, slide the object to the right side of the bed, and manually rotate the leadscrew so it just barely touches the object. Return the object to the other side to verify, and repeat until it’s equal distance from the bed on both sides. Since the leadscrews are away from the bed, it will take a few times to get it right.

With the gantry co-planar with the bed, power it on and give it a try. If it still moves very poorly, get some white lithium grease (I’m partial to Lucas brand myself, and it’s available in many car part stores in the US):

Spread that lightly on the leadscrews and run the gantry up and down a few times. If it’s still rough, your frame might be out of square, and you’ll want to go through the frame squaring steps on ohai.lulzbot.com for the Taz.
