I have been away from printing for a few years and just now getting back into it. I have the latest Cura LE 4.13.10 and an unmodified Taz6 printer.
Every time I load an STL file and try to slice it, I get an error.
" ! Unable to slice
Unable to slice with the current settings. The following settings have
errors: Regular Fan Speed at Layer"
What does this mean? How do I fix it?
I have printed these objects before using the old Cura LE versions and I can still print them today. Strange
I am still using Windows 10 if that makes a difference.
I am not sure if windows 10 is still supported on the latest version but experts correct me if im wrong but depending on the material you don’t even need fan speed
Second just under the move click the lay flat
I clicked on Bottom.
The objects always show up in the build area, but when I click on Slice, I get the error.
Is there something in settings that needs to be changed? Cura LE seems to behave in all other areas. I can even use the monitor tab and move the printhead anyplace.
I would like to refer you to @McLeach or someone who knows more about software then Me
OK, thanks.
The latest Cura file from Lulzbot is Cura_LulzBot_Edition-4.13.10-amd64.exe.
Strange that it says amd64.
Cura will limit the fan speed below a certain layer height, and allow regular fan speed after that layer.
That’s what “Regular fan speed at layer” is.
If you can do a quick screen grab of what your profile settings look like when searching for “fan” you should get a result like this:
Seeing what yours is set at will help.
I uninstalled Cura and reinstalled it as an administrator.
It slices now with no errors.
Thanks for your help!!!
Some of the menus work better now. Something must have gone wrong during then initial install.
