First layer comes out bad, rest of print comes out Perfect

Hello All,

This is my first time posting to the forum, so crossing my fingers you guys will know how to fix the problem. I have a Lulzbot Taz 6 and when I go to print it does it’s auto leveling. In this process if you are unfamiliar with how it works it retracts the filament and wipes it’s nozzle and proceeds to level the bed. This is a great feature of the printer however it does not unretract that filament that it just brought up it just proceeds to try and print which I believe is where the problem stems from. I tried to out smart the printer by pausing it after this process and re-extruding the filament so it is at the bottom of the extruder but after I unpause it, it retracts the filament again. Anyone know how to solve this issue I attached a picture if you are not following my words. ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED

Your nozzle is starting too close to the bed… the auto-level is not working.

Make sure the nozzle / discs are clean, and flip or replace the wiper pad.

Try a positive z-offset in the slicer software or through the LCD… use .1 or .2.
