Taz 4 Replacement Hex Screws

So I dropped and lost one of the bottom hex screws that secures the budaschnozzle… where can I get a replacement?

We use 2 M4 x 20mm Socket Head Cap Screws to secure the extruder/Buda to the extruder mount. You should be able to find them at your local hardware store. The big-box hardware stores carry M4 and up at least. Mr. Metric or BoltDepot are two decent online sources, but with flat rate shipping, you’d be better served to stock up on the common sizes (M2, M3, M4, M5).

What length are the (M2, M3, M4, M5) or does the M# define all the parameters? Also, what size threaded brass inserts should we stock up on to go w/ the screws?

The naming convention is: M4 x 20mm = screw, with a thread diameter of 4mm, and a length of 20mm. If you’d like to purchase back up screws the BOMs on download.lulzbot.com can be referenced for the sizes/counts. For the mating heat set inserts, get the matching M_ size, and match the length of the heat set insert to your application. Reference the BOM or this thread for more heat set insert info: https://forum.lulzbot.com/t/heat-set-inserts/212/1 and https://forum.lulzbot.com/t/where-to-get-those-heat-set-nuts-and-screws-that-lulzbot-use/377/1

I agree with this, very well explained.
